Network and Information Security Directive (the NIS Directive)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The aim of the NIS Directive is to ensure a high common level of security of networks and information systems (or cybersecurity) across the EU.  The Directive establishes minimum security and incident notification requirements (such as service disruption or a breach of security). The  obligations in the NIS Directive will apply to (i) operators of essential services (for example those relating to energy, transport, banking, financial market infrastructure and health) as well as to (ii) certain digital infrastructure and digital service providers (for example online marketplaces, online search engines and cloud computing services).  The speaker will discuss practical aspects of what the NIS Directive brings for businesses, also in the light of the recently adopted General data protection regulation.
